C.J. Cow,

I am new to the animation world, well not to new, I have only a year left in college and I'm finding myself becoming terrified of graduating. I don't have much that keeps me inspired. So my question is, What keeps you inspired? and How much time do you spend working on your Teddy rig?

P.S. I was wondering if you could take a look at the Mr. Brightside rig on HighEnd, I did that rig and I was wondering if you could give me any pointers.

Thanks,
Nathan

Thanks for commenting back. I am sticking to the rigging. I have tried my hand at modeling and I just don't get it. I know how it works and how to use the tools. I have the Fahrenheit training DVD. I have looked into the Gnomon stuff but I"m use the Digital Tutors DVDs right now. Also I am reading "Inspired 3D advanced rigging and deformations." That book has taught me a lot that I haven't learned in school.

I noticed that you have been working on the challenges from the 11 second club, would those be good for me to start doing? To test my rigs and to get a better feel at animating?

I just want to become good at what I do, but I keep feeling that I wont and that when it comes time to find a job, it will never come.
Has that ever happened to you?

thanks guys. we all want to be good at what we do; i think the only way is to keep on practicing. there is a famous saying "you will create 1000 bad drawings before you create a decent one." the important thing is to be able to take something from the bad drawings and learn from your experience. if you are passionate and determined and confident in what you love, i am sure when it comes time to look for work, jobs will come.
